Miguel Angel Velit

Urodził się w 1962 roku w Limie, gdzie w 1982 roku ukończył Escuela de Bellas Artes de Lima i mieszka do dzisiaj.

Twórca, którego artystyczna ścieżka ewoluowała przez wiele lat niosąc za sobą zmiany tematów i materiałów. Początkowo zgłębiał tematykę symboli i kształtów wywodzących się z kultury Inków, później zainteresowała go tematyka planet i zjawisk kosmicznych, którą przekształcał na rysunki, a z rysunków na rzeźby. Pracował również nad dziełami niosącymi społeczno polityczne przesłania z obecnej rzeczywistości Peru. Rzeźbił w takich materiałach jak kamień i polerowany marmur. W ostatnich latach tworzy głównie kolorowe rzeźby z metalu. Uprawia również malarstwo, tworząc głównie abstrakcyjne mapy miast.

Artysta o imponującym dorobku artystycznym oraz dużej aktywności twórczej. Wykładał między innymi w Museum of Art w Limie, w Japanise Cultural Center, w ArtSouth Miami Beach Homestead oraz w Fengliang Art Collego w Chinach. Jest zdobywcą wielu prestiżowych nagród. Jego prace znajdują się w kolekcjach kilkunastu muzeów w Peru, Argentynie, Meksyku, Chile czy USA, jak i również w kolekcjach prywatnych, galeriach i w wielu parkach rzeźby na całym świecie: Europos Parkas na Litwie, Franconia Sculpture Park w USA, Sculpture Park w Berlinie, Valdivia Sculpture Park w Chile, Putaendo Park Park w Chile, Chang Chun Sculpture Park w Chinach, Yuzi Paradise Sculpture Park w Chinach i wielu innych. W Europos Parkas można podziwiać jego pracę Moon Eclipse, a we Franconia Sculpture Park instalację z obszaru sztuki ziemi Symbols of Life.

He was born in 1962 in Lima, where in 1982 he graduated from the Escuela de Bellas Artes de Lima and lives there till today.

The artist whose artistic path has evolved over many years, bringing with it changes of  themes and materials. Initially he explored themes of symbols and shapes derived from the culture of the Incas, later he got attracted with the planets and the theme of cosmic phenomena, which he transformed to  drawings, and from drawings to sculptures. He also worked on works carrying the political and social message of the present reality of Peru. He sculpted in such materials as stone and polished marble. In recent years he creates mainly colored sculptures from metal. Also cultivates painting, creating primarily abstract maps of cities.

The artist with impressive artistic achievements and high creative activity. He taught among others in the Museum of Art in Lima, Japanise Cultural Center, Miami Beach Homestead ArtSouth and Fengliang Art College in China. He has won many prestigious awards. His works are in collections of several museums in Peru, Argentina, Mexico, Chile and USA as well as in private collections, galleries and many sculpture parks all around the world: Europos Parkas in Lithuania, the Franconia Sculpture Park in the United States, Sculpture Park in Berlin , Valdivia Sculpture Park in Chile, Putaendo Park Park in Chile, Chang Chun, China Sculpture Park, Yuzi Paradise Sculpture Park in China and many others. In Europos Parkas his work Moon Eclipse can be admired and in the Franconia Sculpture Park an art installation in the area of ​​land art Symbols of Life.
