Joni Younkins-Herzog

Artystka szuka inspiracji głównie w naturze i ciele ludzkim.

Artystka ukończyła Henry Radford School of Fine Arts w Indianie oraz Lamar Dodd School of Art W Georgii. Obecnie jest Instruktorem Rzeźby w Ringling College of Art and Design na Florydzie.

Oficjalna strona artystki

.....................................................................................................................................

The artist seeks inspiration mainly in nature and the human body. Looking for beauty in the immediate vicinity. Dates back to the fascination of childhood and draws on the latest biotechnology, which complement each other in her work and gives it an infinite amount of inspiration. Her imagination is processing information on topics such as stem cell research, prosthetics, or GMOs. Assumes the role of a scientist or geneticist to create her own specimens. A common element in her work are multiplied elements of the human body. Her sculptures are often absurd, bizarre, sometimes funny. They combine beauty with absurdity, blurring the lines between reality and fantasy.

She graduated from Henry Radford School of Fine Arts in Indiana and Lamar Dodd School of Art in Georgi and currentlyis  an Instructor of Sculpture at Ringling College of Art and Design in Florida. She has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in the United States. She has won plenty of awards and honors, and is a member of the International Sculpture Center. She was twice a resident at the Centro Colombo Americano in Colombia.
